Registration is in full swing for Greenway’s complimentary customer events ... and 2019 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet!
We sat down with Roxanne Irestone, RN, director of nursing at Arizona Asthma & Allergy Institute, and Rachel Curtiss, event coordinator at Greenway, to chat about what you can expect — and what’s new — at our User Exchange events.
Roxanne, you’ve attended our User Exchange in Phoenix the past two years. What should customers know before they go to a User Exchange?
Roxanne: That it’s a great opportunity to meet other Greenway users in your local and regional area, to learn about upcoming features with Greenway software, and to meet with Greenway partners.
What can customers expect at the event?
Roxanne: Overall, they can expect to meet Greenway experts who work directly with product development, and to understand the company’s vision. After registration there’s a general session where you have several people from Greenway talking about its vision and services. The presentations are well done.
You also get to meet other people from many types of practices … fellow healthcare workers. And, depending on how they use the Greenway product, you’ll learn what they’re doing with it. I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks.
What specific tips have been beneficial for your practice?
Roxanne: The tips about the next steps of product development. But the most valued component is the presentation on the upcoming software features of Project Polaris and listening to the questions asked by other users and the answers from the Greenway employee who is directly involved with the development. I think that's very important.
How has your practice benefited from your attendance at a User Exchange?
Roxanne: I met with two of Greenway’s Marketplace Partners at the Phoenix User Exchange in 2018. Since then, we’ve been partnering with Updox for the last eight months, and we're in the process of initiating another Greenway partner, M*Modal, for voice recognition for our new patient dictation.
Roxanne: Yes. The components that will be of most benefit to us are the upcoming noting functions, new screen layouts, voice recognition, and that negative findings will show more readily. And it’s beneficial knowing that Project Polaris’s foundation is in Intergy. We're hoping that the transition will be smooth for our providers and, therefore, training with our staff.
What’s your favorite part of a User Exchange?
Roxanne: This year it was when we talked about the upcoming features for the next-generation platform. At the 2018 general session, it was interesting to hear the Project Polaris leader talk about the vision for the project. I got to sit with and meet the Greenway people at dinner, which is nice because you get that relaxed dialogue while you're eating. That's a nice component.
Rachel, what’s new for attendees at this year’s User Exchanges?
Rachel: Greenway has hosted User Exchange events for the past seven years. One piece of feedback that we get a lot from customers is that they always enjoy the networking opportunities … but they want more! To achieve that, we’ve added a component to the product breakout session called the “Solution Room.” This facilitated networking session gives customers the chance to work with peers who have similar roles to solve their day-to-day challenges.
In addition, Greenway experts from various departments attend each User Exchange. If a customer has a question, concern, or wants to talk about a topic that isn’t necessarily on the agenda, the onsite team can make sure our customers leave with the answers they need.
And to help customers make the most of their time at a User Exchange, we’ve added two features. The first is what we call our “Eat, Play, Learn” sheet. Customized for each User Exchange, the one-pager lets customers know about where they can grab a bite, local attractions they may wish to explore, and learning opportunities in our Knowledge Center.
The second feature is a web page that lets customers explore our upcoming conference ENGAGE20, our new Greenway Champions program, our five-point customer pledge, and Greenway solutions and services.
Each agenda is packed with valuable resources … and it’s all complimentary!
