Tampa, FL – Aug. 6, 2012 — Vitera Healthcare Solutions, one of the nation’s largest providers of electronic health records and practice management software and services, announced today the appointment of Sam Snider as General Counsel. Snider brings over 12 years of legal experience to the Tampa-based healthcare IT provider.

Prior to joining Vitera, Snider was vice president and lead acquisition counsel for LexisNexis, where he was responsible for the company’s global M&A activities in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Snider was a corporate lawyer in the Atlanta office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, a large international law firm. Snider is a frequent writer and speaker on corporate law and M&A matters and has been named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta and Georgia Super Lawyers magazines. Snider is a member of the American Bar Association.

Snider earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his JD from New York University School of Law.
