Greenway Health & Blayne Barber

Proudly sponsoring one of the Top 10 golfers.

One of the rising young stars of professional golf, Blayne Barber was born on Dec. 25, 1989 in Tallahassee, FL. He grew up in the small North Central Florida town of Lake City, playing golf at Quail Heights Country Club with his dad, who began taking him to the course when he was 3. At age 7, Blayne told his mom that he wanted to be a professional golfer when he grew up. Blayne played baseball until he was 12, but decided to give it up to focus on golf full time.

Blayne went to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. After his freshman year, he transferred to Auburn University in Auburn, AL, where he played two more years before graduating with a business degree in Finance.

During his college career, Blayne was a three-time All-American, earning First-Team All-American honors his redshirt junior year. He also competed for United States teams in the 2011 and 2012 Palmer Cup, as well as the 2011 Walker Cup.

Since turning professional in 2012, Blayne has competed in numerous PGA TOUR and Tour events, but entered the 2014 season as a full-time member of the Tour for the first time.

He spent much of his time early in his professional career playing on the NGA Tour, and owes much of his success to the opportunities the NGA Tour presented to compete against high-level competition. He is a six-time winner on the NGA Tour.

“Greenway applauds Blayne Barber as a competitive player and a consummate professional who lives his life according to the highest standards,” said Greenway Health CEO Tee Green. “Blayne reflects the core values that are at the heart of Greenway Health, and he’s one of the most promising players to emerge in professional golf. We look forward to our mutual successes serving as a reflection of our shared commitment to work hard, lead and always be the best that we can be.”
